Personal Trainer Improves Fitness After Isagenix
Cat C. is a personal trainer and pilates instructor who was always able to eat whatever she wanted without worry of weight gain—until she hit menopause.
The 56-year-old says she experienced the dreaded belly fat that comes with aging, and joint pain when she would go for a run. After learning about Isagenix at a trade show, she and her husband decided to try cleansing together.
“My husband shocked me because he has such a delicate palate and tends to get bored with things,” says Cat. “But, he really enjoys it, and we’ve been living a great new lifestyle.” Indeed, Cat has lost nearly 30 pounds* in a year, along with the joint pain she used to feel.
Better for Her Students
As a trainer, Cat’s life is fitness. Imagine only being able to perform your professional duties at less than 100 percent. Now, with Isagenix, Cat says she’s a better teacher for her clients.
“I have so much more energy,” Cat says. “While I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose, I feel so much better. I’m able to give more to my clients, and in turn, I’m getting more out of them, as well.”
New Fitness Goals
Cat’s Isagenix journey extends outside of the fitness studio. She recently ran her first half-marathon, something she never would have dreamed of without Isagenix.
“I was carrying around 25 extra pounds, which was enough to put pressure on my knees,” Cat says. “Before when I would run, my joints would hurt so badly. After I lost the weight, my knees have felt great.”
Cat also entered the IsaBody Challenge in the Healthy Aging category and continues to be a health advocate for her peers.
“After a certain age, if you haven’t been working out, your joints hurt, and you’re craving junk food,” Cat says. “It’s like taking this winding road all the way up, and after taking Isagenix, you feel like the road has straightened out, and you’re coasting.”
Cat’s Tips for Success:
- Let yourself cheat. Cat says she has a moderate “cheat day” every Saturday after a Cleanse Day, although since starting Isagenix, her cravings for sweets and ice cream have disappeared. She and her husband have also eliminated dairy and beef from their diets.
- Get a cleanse buddy. Cat says trying the cleanse with her hubby benefited both parties. “It’s so awesome to do it with someone because you feel like you have somebody to bounce things off of,” Cat says. “It creates a healthy competition and is really fun to do as a couple.”
- Measure your portions. Portions are vital for maintaining a healthy weight, and Cat has some easy tricks. “If I’m having protein, I measure it with the back of my hand,” Cat says. “If you get anything at a restaurant, remember most times, it’s two serving sizes or more. With starches, I usually plate less than what I think is a cup.”
